How the bench works

Verified, booked direct, no share of the rate

Everyone here has already held the seat they are listed for. Before a profile goes up a person reads it against their public profile and their CV, and a listing that does not stand up does not appear. Nobody can pay to be on the bench, to rank higher on it, or to be included in a shortlist.

Each operator sets their own day rate and their own availability, and the rate is published on the seat pages below rather than quoted on a call. That is possible because we take no share of it: you contract with the operator directly, pay them directly, and we are not in the payment path at all.

Contact details stay private until an operator accepts. You send a request, they accept or decline within three days, and everything after that is between the two of you. If you would rather not sift the bench yourself, Operator Search runs it for you.

Questions companies ask

Five questions, plain English
How are operators on the bench verified?
A person reads every listing against the operator's public profile and their CV before it appears. What is checked is that the seats claimed were actually held, at the companies named, for the periods stated. A listing that does not stand up does not go up, and nobody can pay to skip it.
What does it cost to book someone from the bench?
The operator's day rate, and nothing else. We take no share of it, which is why the bands are published on every seat page rather than quoted on a call. You contract with the operator directly and pay them directly.
How quickly can a fractional executive start?
Most operators on the bench can start within one to three weeks, which is the main practical difference from a permanent search that runs three to six months. Availability is set by the operator and shown on their profile.
Can an operator pay to appear higher on the bench?
No, and there is no plan that changes it. Order is set by hand at the desk on fit and availability, never by payment. A company shown the best three has to be shown the best three, not the best three who paid.
What if I cannot find the right person on the bench?
Operator Search runs the search for you. It costs nothing to start, three candidates are researched and assessed against your brief within five business days, and the fee is charged only if you appoint one of them.
