Privacy policy

The short version

We collect what we need to run a verified directory and nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not advertise on it, and your CV is never public. Ask us and we will send you everything we hold or delete it.

What we collect

Why we hold it

To publish your listing where you have asked us to; to verify that listings are real; to pass a booking request to the operator you chose; to run a search you have paid for; to send transactional email about your own account; and to keep records for tax and accounting. We rely on performing our contract with you, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the bench accurate.

What is public and what is not

Public: your first name and last initial, seat, role title, headline, bio, country and city, years of experience, rate, sectors, stages, work preferences, availability, photo, and published reviews of you.

If you agreed to be featured: we may use your photo, name and profile on our own social channels and marketing, so more companies see you. That is the box you ticked when you joined, or the email you replied to, and nothing else changes. Email support@getoperators.co and we will stop and remove anything already published.

Never public: your CV, your email address, your phone number, and your full name. An operator’s direct contact details are released to a company only when that operator accepts a booking.

Who processes it

Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Google (receiving our email, and analytics if you accept the cookie banner), Microsoft (Clarity, which records anonymised page interactions so we can see where the site confuses people; what you type into a form is masked before it ever reaches them), GitHub (a nightly encrypted backup of our database and uploaded files, held in a private repository so your data survives a failure at our main provider), and Anthropic (the search assistant on the bench page, which reads only the public listing fields, never your CV or contact details). They process data on our instructions to run the service. We do not share your data with anyone else, except where a permanent brief is worked by our search partner, and then only with your knowledge.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. Close it and we delete your listing, your CV and your uploads within 30 days. We keep the minimum record of paid transactions for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of everything we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@getoperators.co and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies

We set one cookie-equivalent without asking: the token that keeps you signed in until you sign out. Without it the site cannot know it is you, so it is exempt from consent.

We also use Google Analytics to see which pages are worth keeping, and we ask before it sets anything. Until you accept, it runs without cookies and cannot identify you. Decline and it stays that way; the site works identically either way. You can change your mind any time from Analytics preferences at the bottom of any page.

We run no advertising cookies at all, and we do not sell or share what analytics collects.
